My guess is that the quarterback will rejoin the Vikings for the 2010 season in a couple of weeks.

Favre has gone on record a number of times saying that he does not like Sid Hartman. Most of Favre's dislike for Sid goes back years when he played in GB and Sid would say that Favre was overrated or Favre had a horrible record in domed stadiums or Favre was a poor leader due to his drug addiction. Also, when the Packers would play the Vikings in the Metrodome Sid would always predict that the Vikings would beat GB and that Favre would throw 3 or more interceptions. Favre always refered to Sid as the biggest "boot-licker" and "name-dropper" in the industry. He also referred to Sid as a grumpy old man who to this day likes to pretend that he is a journalist.

Hmmmmm lets see-i beleive warren moon was 44 and both vinny testeverde and steve deberg wewre both 45 when they called it quits. thats the only qb's i can remember playing into their 40's in the last 10-15 years. there could easily be others but thats all i can think of off the top of my head, is Favre the physical equivilant of all of them if not better? probably-does that mean 2-3 years of this fiasco? groan! i hope not

I believe he will be here About August 30th just in time for the last preseason Denver Sept 2nd game. Sid is right that he does love it here now. But to Ultrahmr (and your aforementioned commentary) you sound like one of those self entitled intelligents who is such a norske whiner pessimist. Yeah you know your references from the past, but after last season those two do not hold any grudges and are actually very respectful of one another , and Im sure they have let bygones be bygones after last years Viking Lovefest. Also everyone layoff Zulgad. Im sure he thought his source had a real scoop but he got duped. He needs to take lessons from Steven A. Smith (Lebron Saga) on how to scoop proper. Thats it from your true homer wherever I am, Wolfmaster.

For starters Sid had predicted a Viking Super Bowl victory every year since they became a NFL franchise; 0-49 (soon to be 0-50). The four times the Vikkings did make it to the Super Bowl Sid predicted victory; 0-4. Since their last trip to the Super Bowl the Vikings have made it to the NFC Championship game five times and Sid has predicted victory in ALL five of those games - 0-5. My point being is Sid has learned NOTHING over the soon to be 50 years he has been making Viking related predictions!!!

Don't blame Favre for the wall-to-wall media coverage. It isn't him. Its the sports media machine building hype to grow their audience. If he plays he plays, if he doesn't he doesn't, we will be watching the Vikings either way.

Great Sid, you stole a quote from another source and used it for your article. Really? He'll play if he's healthy? I mean it's not like ESPN and the FAN reported this already.

I kind of forgot what series of events set up this years Favre drama. But thanks to ESPN ,on this last Tuesday jarred my memory.Watching Brett take all those late hits during the Saints game over and over again pissed me off.I have no idea how Favre could even stand after such abuse.I know that some were flagged as late hits but most were not.Watching the clips of the game againand again Favre never once had the ball in his hand when he was driven twisted and smashed to the ground.I think Mr. Goodell and the league need to address this issue, yes some flags were thrown and at times 15 yards is alot. But when hits are very late and intended to intentionally hurt any player there needs to be more reprocussion.I know there are fines after the game but money will not heal broken bones.I think maybe the NFL should take a page from the NHL.If you intentionally hit someone to cause that player to leave the game then it should be 15 yards and the offending team would have to play a series one man short. That would make most cheap shots a thing of the past. Just imagine 11 on 10 .

He just cant come out and say it...so he puts up the smokescreen...everyone knows and rationalizes it because it wouldn't look good...even for Brett Favre to say..." I don't feel like going to training camp " when everyone else has to. He'll be back this season and probably next season as well....if there is one.
