A year into his Senate seat, he's scored with legislation, fundraising - and pointed words.

Al Franken has been a very strong Senator representing Minnesota. He is very well-prepared for his work and presents his arguments clearly and factually. You cannot deny that the guy is smart and takes his work very seriously. You also cannot deny that he cares for people and the integrity of our government.

People will disagree...they will call him names like Angry Al and whatever else the political right wants to use to slander him...but if you disagree, can you make an argument counter to Senator Franken's based on well-reasoned facts rather than name calling? There is a difference. I'd have to say that the angry ones seem to be lined up on the right while the calmer heads are on the left, including Al Franken.

I am proud of Senator Franken's work. Good work from a guy who shows he really cares. I'm happy that he's tough and direct. We need that.

I voted for Senator Franken, and in less than a year he's done more for Minnesota and America than Governor Pawlenty could do in a career of politics (which we hope is over by the way).

Senator Franken has proven himself an excellent statesman. I have not been paying too close of attention, but he's crafted from the same entertainer fabric as President Reagan so I am sure the Conservatives love him, too.

as he talked about how corporations are really just giant fists with brass knuckles pounding regular folks into the ground. Just about the most stupid comment I have ever heard, except for the next few things this ignoramous said about the Supreme Court. Franken demonizes "corporations" as if they are sentient beings bent on doing evil, when in fact they are just groups of people engaged in business. I voted independence party when he was up against Norm Coleman because I'm not really behind the republican party, but after the close election, I realized I made a mistake. It's the lesser of two evils from now on.

I'm very happy with Franken - and will be happier still as his tongue becomes even sharper. All the better to cut the opposition's bilious blather to the quick. Truly, these days, it's good to see a Senator who's in no mood to suffer fools.

There are numerous articles floating around about Frankens time in the Senate. And all mention his greatest accomplishment as getting mealy mouthed to Lieberman. So he has not accomplished anything. We could of elected a mannequin and fared better.

Based on his record and what I know from reading 'Liars', I'll vote for Al again. He's one of the few we've voted into office that really wants to work for us. Amy Klobuchar has voted more consistently for the bankers - her's is a more corporate type of liberalism. I will vote again for Franken but I'll vote Green Party against Klobuchar to send a message that her ilk are not to be trusted.

What a complete an utter embarassment to the 75% of Minnesotans who don't post their hyper-liberal psycho-babble here.

is because the Supreme Court has made decisions which have given corporations the rights of individuals but not the responsibilities of them. Corporations are not people and should not be treated as such, so the courts need to stop giving them equal or more rights then individuals.

I thought it was a mistake to elect the man one year ago and nothing that I have seen or heard has changed my mind. Franken is a left wing bomb thrower and just like the Republican lackeys this state has sent to the Senate in the past Mr Franken will someday show his stripes and the voting public will know what I already figured out months ago. Wrong man wrong job.
