Everything Tim Pawlenty does makes perfect sense once you realize his GOAL is smaller government.

is basing ALL his decisions on how he can parlay then to a successful presidential campaign. He doesn't care about Minnesotans.

Newsflash to some: that tasty federal money is going to start drying up soon. It may not be tomorrow, but it is certain to happen and it will make the LGA issues the cities are facing look like small potatoes.

The more we grow the size of our government based on funds from the Feds, the more we will suffer when that day finally arrives. The same people that are complaining that we aren't taking all of this "free" federal money is the same crowd that will call for a tax increase to cover the costs when that money goes away. But keep hating on "T-paw", if that makes it easier to ignore the future.

Free money is never what it sounds. The Fed never gives money away without strings. Even so, it is coming to a point where what if they don't pay up what they say they would pay? MN taxpayers would then have to foot the bill. Look at No Child Left Behind-has the gov't paid that bill to anyone? To think that we should just get money from the Fed because it's there is foolish.

Barack Obama singled out Medicare and Medicaid as the "two largest contributors of the federal deficit and debt, by a huge margin."---He's telling us, loud and clear, that the magic money tree doesn't exist, but people like Meiches and Massa, people that stand to profit directly, want you to believe it does.

...is that they assume there is such a thing as 'Federal' money. It is ALL our money. Hopefully when adults are returned to power in November, this truth will be restored upon our ever-increasing Federal leviathan.

that when you have the Feds giving you money, you know it's going to cost even more. Laws and regulations imposed by the Master State make us less of a State. Plus, if you follow what is happening in UK right now, you will see the Master State is now rationing health care. Do you really want to go there? Of course, you Fidel lovers probably like enjoy the Master State idea. Prepare to crawl like spineless worms if that is your idea of life.
