Being "genuinely appreciated" means getting a genuine living wage. And getting genuine health benefits at a price workers can afford. Of course workers are worried about their employer's "leadership" and "strategic direction." Look what a mess the CEOs and Boards of Directors have made of the U.S. Economy. Are they NOT responsible for losing our competitive advantage in the world economy? NOT innovating and creating new products and services that the marketplace actually wants to buy? And in many cases NOT obeying the law... driving many long term enterprises into bankruptcy and oblivion? What I want to see are the top Minnesota 100 companies that are "horrific" places to work. Those that pay near poverty wages, offer no opportunity for advancement, no benefits, have over 100% rate of turnover and no long term commitment to their employees and have major litigation (labor violations and other violations) against them. Maybe the STRIB can do the workers of the state a service by finding these companies, writing about them, so Minnesotan's can find out where NOT to work. Let's attract and grow more of the Minnesota "nice" companies and send the rest packing.
