Stop being an Orthodox Jew! Any belief system requiring its adherents to deny their inherent hard-wiring is of no value to the world. Anyone choosing to place the rantings of a fictional bronze-age thug ahead of their own honest feelings has nobody to blame for their predicament but themselves.

What I'd like to know is how they treat the lesbian Orthodox Jews who, through circumstances beyond their control, just happen to be Cheeseheads.

That religion is a contrived concept to begin with and when it starts to deny you your basic rights like "They risk losing everything" if they are discovered, she said. "They can lose their home, their friends, even their children.", then you dump it and do not return to it.

"Trembling Before G-d" is an amazing movie about gay men & lesbians who are trying to live their lives as gay/lesbian but still want to remain Frum. Miryam Kabakov is a very brave woman. Shabbat Shalom Miryam; I'm hoping to be there on Thursday.

the religions of the "prophet" abraham have had enough time to make things the way they want it. what 5000 years for jews, 2000 for christians, something a little less for islam. The results they have 'blessed' the world with have been disgusting, terrifying, murderous. 5000 years and you all have failed. Time for you all to step aside and let the rest of us get a chance to make this world a better place. I got a hunch we will do a heck of a lot better job.

Your "religion is a choice- I found it very easy to stop...Time for you all to step aside and let the rest of us get a chance to make this world a better place". Hmmm, This sounds a lot like Nietzsche. (Will to power, superman)etc. His stopping was not all that easy, and his arrival was even worse. If you look at the track record of the athiestic governmental nations of recent history,(USSR, China, Korea, etc., das ubermensch falls far short of your predictions. Let the farce be with you.
