Guillermo Gonzalez's prison term ended in March and he's willing to trade his citizenship and welfare checks, but the U.S. says no.

cashing bad checks 20 years ago... buy him his damn plane ticket back, it's cheaper for us, it's better for him, and it's the moral thing to do. black + white.

he is making more than me and I have a home and a family to pay for. I love my country . . . And, I have never committed anything other than a traffic offense. How sweet it is.

i'd like a free trip to the dominican, too. oh, wait...i pay my taxes and i'm not a criminal. guess i don't qualify for that, or for $1600/month in benefits, either. oh, but i DO get to pay for them for other people. yay me.

Take the man up on his offer - rescind his citizenship and send him home. In the long run it'll probably save the US hundreds of thousands of dollars. Are we so hateful and stupid that we can't see the sense it that?
