Republicans will choose between very different styles: Marty Seifert, the witty, solid House leader, and Tom Emmer, the impassioned Tea Party favorite.

and they can take Margaret Kelliher with them! If any of you politicians around here allow the Minnesota Vikings to walk out of our lives for ever than every single one of you should be campaigning to run for office in a smaller market state!

Is it just me, or is anyone else mystified and frightened that somehow Rep. Seifert is now considered the "moderate" candidate left?

When Republicans and Democrats in congress would go have a beer together after work, and find ways to agree on things. The current polarization we see in this country makes me sick.

I've personally experienced the Emmer Temper. After the Gas Tax hike a few years ago he was quoted as stating it was the "largest tax increase in modern Minnesota history." Some students in a Current Events class I was teaching at the time questioned what that statement meant. I contacted Emmer and got the run around and finally was give a sarcastic "I'm not answering your stupid question" kind of response. I and my students were dumbfounded by his lack of professionalism. Yep, good Governor material for sure...

But I can't imagine voting for a big spend and tax DFLer.

But he believes that government should decide if a woman should have an abortion or not????? Strange kind of limited government when that's what you have in mind.

I heard him on Midday today with Emmer, and he kept taking shallow shots at Emmer. Emmer kept his cool and didn't let things get personal. That said, Seifert definitely had the better political approach. I just think Seifert is digging himself into a hole before the convention. Although maybe as a DFL supporter, I should be okay with that. Anyways, I'm a political junkie and I've been enjoying the endorsement activity this month!
