I don't know the whole story on this dude, but seems pretty messed up that someone would get 8 years in prison for, what seems to me, an unintentional motor vehicle accident that involved deaths "unintentionally". Was he drunk? It states in the article he was not, I believe. Was it road rage? What is the deal here?

Mr. Lee may have gotten 1 year for not being able to stop his car and 7 years for being Laotian. This part of the American criminal justice system goes on every day to the shame of each and every one of us.

Dankoz, I think you pretty much hit the nail right on the head there. Most people don't go to jail for car accidents period, drunk, fatal, malfunctioning car or otherwise. There's an Asian woman in jail here in CA for the same reason.

Please read the article before commenting. The whole article. By your standards he killed 2, people, but the article clearly states that 3 people died as a result of the accident. Was that intentional? NO. Even the family of the victims has changed their mind about this man.
