If you are FOR using $305,000 to build a mountain bike trail in Maple Grove, please don't be complaining about teacher cuts... $50,000 to build a trail wasn't enough?

no $50,000 isn't enought...ever called a landscaper to do your yard? In the real world things are expensive! Instead of a trail that will need consant upkeep and cost more over time, i think the money could have been better spent on decorative drinking fountains that will last generations.

Why are there never any accommodations for unicyclists? This is why people are so angry when taxes go up and up. The unicycling community is NEVER included!

I regularly see uni's riding the off road trails in the metro. They aren't fast, but they can do a lot of tricks on those things. Pretty amazing.

ALL trails built by the MN Off Road Cyclists are built to be self sustaining. Problems arise when selfish idiots ride the trails when rain soaked or in the freeze/thaw cycles, then maintenance is required to fix the damage. I was the steward of the off road trail that was constructed in Theo Wirth 6 years ago, and that trail is heavily used and requires minimal maintenance. And guess what, not a single taxpayer dollar was used to construct it. All volunteer labor.

...still, the hand-standers never get a break! Hand-standing community UNITE! Equal access for hand standers! All we need is hand washers every half mile or so. Is that so much to ask?? WHY is this state so stingy with tax dollars?

Is there nothing the federal government thinks it shouldn't do? These trails are coming out of transportation budgets. Hello folks! We're going bankrupt! Our priorities are insane.
