Wow....somebody smartened up and realized the amount of revenue alcohol can bring in....proving yet again, that money talks..Maybe they should have never placed the ban to begin with, but then again, what else would they have had to debate and waste more time on?

Sell a legal product to adults to help the taxpayer. Just think what else we could do? Maybe have ONE Casaino. Deficit solved stadium built. I won't get my hopes up, we'll let the native Americans make all the big dough and just stick to the lottery because somehow that's not immoral....

They keep raising tuition, but at the same time turn away potential revenue. It's about time they allowed responsible alcohol use, and put that money towards teacher's salaries and students tuition!!

Were they worried that students would be drinking at the game, like they don't drink before the game as it is? Seriously, allow liquor sales and bring in more money. The people who want to get drunk will find a way either way.

and just stay out of the way. as geoff michel of edina said: "let's let the university make these decisions". EXACTLY! the anti u of m law that the MN legislature passed last year was asinine! it hurt not only the football stadium. it also hurt williams arena and mariucci arena. overturn the law that was passed last year.

all that happened was.. some suite owner was mad that he couldn't schmooze up their clients.. so he called his lobyist who owns a few legislators and this is the result. the average schmo sitting in the average seat will still have to abide by the prohibition set upon them by the royal board of regents at the mighty U.

all that happened here was some suite owner decided he couldn't get his clients drunk enough so that guy called his lobyist who called a legistlator that he bought. and this is the result. the average schmo sitting in the average seat will still be in the prohibition zone since the royal board of regents will be deciding who gets to drink
