Two way traffic on 2nd Ave, 1st Ave, and Hennipen Ave is a failure. Why change a system that had worked for over 50 years. They could still have the bike lanes, but make the bikers also go with the one way flow of traffic. It was poorly thought out and was even worse in practice.

There's already too much congestion on MPLS roads, and the frickin' bike lanes make things worse. Get rid of the bike lanes and allow AUTO traffic to efficiently utilize the roads that were made for AUTOS. Bicycle riders wouldn't even be riding their toys downtown anyway. There's a little public transit system they could use called the sidewalk!

Typical, now that we have been hijacked to build a new stadium. The City Council never plans properly, just reacts to political problems that might occur when suburbanites and outstaters get enraged because their driving to and parking for the Twins might be a problem for them. What about the TERRIBLE conditions of the city streets and neighborhood streets, with grossly deteriorating surfaces and potholes beyond repair? How disgusting that our city council members are more worried about the "POOR TWINS" than about the actual people who live in the city. We have such a poorly performing city council and mayor in Minneapolis, it is disgusting!!!!

Why would anyone expect anything else from our public officals than to wait until the eleventh hour before 'looking into' what will be a traffic nightmare?

a lot of us will end up taking the light rail into the down town zone and more will take the central corridor train and SW corridor train when those are up and running. Yeah, that seems like a hassle, but when you can go to a game, drink, and not worry about traffic or parking, it's worth it. That being said, the two way traffic idea is stupid.
