Movie trailer and its star don't make it seem like a must-see movie.

and that's not an insult. What I mean is, I feel the same way, despite not having seen the movie. BUT, I know people who have and they said it was pretty sappy with over-the-top cliche moments. And the thing that was most distracting about the movie? Sandra Bullocks weak-ass southern accent and rediculous acting. I can't believe she won, but it shows what a weak year this was for movies. Don't forget, she also won a Razzie award this year for her movie with Bradley Cooper that no one saw.

My initial thoughts about Bullocks are similar but I've been told she did a great job in the role. However, the movie doesn't cover much of the 'insight' that makes the book an interesting read. Like the BYU courses that allow Oher (Williams) to get into college. Or the way the NCAA is manipulated during their 'investigation' of Michael. I suppose it makes the movie more 'heartwarming' but it leaves out the reality of big-time sports recruiting and the ineffective role the NCAA plays in the process. I MAY see the movie, but I recommend the book.

What the point of a discussion about a movie if you don't bother to see it. Since you admit that you are a sucker for bad sports movies, what's the danger of watching one more.

You get to review movies you haven't seen. Maybe you should review albums you haven't heard or concerts you didn't go to. Where can I get a job like this?!!
