Team USA's victory was different, but joyful just like 1980 'Miracle.'

It's so true...what were you doing...I was at Zayre shopper city in Coon Rapids with my brothers and Dad. We would listen for a while, then run around. That third period was great...everyone in the store just hung around and they had the game on the store paging system!

I played squirts in Hopkins during the 1980 games and each morning we'd talk about the games at school. What a great article.

It's too bad NBC didn't broadcast the game Sunday evening. I guess ice dancing is more important ???

The game was played in the afternoon and the tape delay came on Friday evening. The outcome of the game was already known prior to the start of the tape delay broadcast. Anyway, the game was televised live on a radio station so I remember I was driving and listening to the game. When the USA scored with 1 second left in the 1st period to tie the game 2-2, I damn near hit the car in front of me because I was so excited. I got home and sat in the parking lot and listened to the last 10 minutes of the 3rd period in my car. Sunday morning the championship game was on and it was like watching the Super Bowl game. Great experience!!

The game was on MSNBC, in its entirety, live, and with no commercials during the periods. With what NBC paid for the rights to televise, they are going to use all of their resources, in order to draw max ad revenue. Check your listings ahead of time, and you won't miss out. The next game for the US Men is Wednesday, 2-4, on NBC.

I guy who still enjoys people teeling him their stories about the game. Unlike a lot of today's primadonnas who can't be bothered by the fans who pay the freight.

The point is that the game should have been the lead event and on their #1 property. For some of us MSNBC is a premium channel that we don't get. For others I've heard that it is not HD like NBC or CNBC are. All the other hockey coverage had been on CNBC. Why change? NBC totally blew it.

Souhan, as a Star Trib writer, should be doing the local angle. Werent any of the Minnesotans in Vancouver? I remember it being special because the year before, Neal Broten lived on my dorm floor at the U. Not that I knew him well, but it was neat to see that team with several players who the eyar before won the NCAA championship with the Gophers.

Geez, did anyone else play in that 1980's Olympics, besides Craig & Euruzione?????? It's like they won it all by themselves!!!!! Get a Life Both of You!!!!! And by the way, How about the 1960 1st Miracle????? Mostly Minnesotans then as well. ENOUGH WITH THE TWO HICKS FROM MASSACHUSETTS!!!!!!!
