Again, the problem is that 10 American guys get together and make a widget. It goes on a shelf ...but is sitting side-by-side with a Chinese-made widget. The American consumer calls the sum of all the American wages (the retail price) "a RIPOFF" ..and proceeds to buy the Chinese-made one ...who can pay 100 cheapy chinese slaves for the price of 10 Americans. One of two things needs to happen. Either American consumers needs to make a conscious decision to pay a higher price for an American-made widget ....or American work need to focus on something else besides sheer price (which we cannot compete) ....quality ....for instance.

Productivity has been climbing for years, while wages decline. Productivity is sometimes working smarter or using technology - but a lot of the time - perhaps the majority - it just means working harder, and harder. 2 people doing three people's jobs, etc. Speedup is what it is called, in the blue-collar OR white-collar world. The slaves have to row faster to make up for the missing oarsman.

If our government gives up it's anti business socialistic quest and adopts smaller government, less regulation, reduced taxes, no Cap & Trade, no socialistic health care plan & no irresponsible spending bills, there will be millions of new jobs created. Too simple, not at all..........

For those who forgot to dig their head out of the sand, China is a COMMUNIST/SOCIALIST with socialized medicine, a huge central government nation and their kicking our butt economically! Chairman Mao is laughing in his grave at the west and the USA. We fought the Cold War for years, Korea, Vietnam, etc. to stop the spread of communism, just to have American consumers run down to the local WalMart, Target, Menards, Home Depot etc and make a donation to their cause everytime we make a purhcase of cheap Chinese goods. We are dooming ourselves and we have no one else to blame.

We need to shrink investment in government and allow private industry and citizens to retain more of their money. Only in this way, will we see spending increase and true wealth be generated. This will spur job growth and innovation. Bloated government has never been the answer.

dubious generalities dangled in front of an low brainpower audience guaranteed to garner votes. Funny the arguments raised that the govt is scooping up ALL the private money for its greedy little hands? Wake up people. Your cushy low-ed job from the 70s isnt coming back. Nor will electing Teabaggers further your cause. Companies will continue to operate independently of the govt, innovating, competing, and yes outsourcing, hiring of illegals. TRy as you will thru the political process to effect a backwards solution? Not going to happen. As much as the teabaggers cry foul at the suspected worldwide socialistic conspiracy here in America, their words are just words. They do work well to raise pulses and hopes, however. Stay ahead of the curve, adapt! Being a whiny teabagger wont solve any of your problems, and adopting a victim mentality with the govt as the aggressor makes you one in the same as a domestic abuse case. But you ll keep coming back.

NAFTA was a scam and PR stunt to get American manufacturing into Mexico and then to someplace into Asia so companies could pocket the labor savings!

I've done quite a bit of rework coming from Mexico & China. Even with all the necessary equiptment, documentation, training, and support these countries seem to struggle with technology. Don't worry America the jobs that need to be here will come back. If you were sewing shirts and shoes together you may have to go back to school or open your own business.

During the Great Depression, President Herbert Hoover ordered the deportation of ALL illegal aliens in order to make jobs available to American citizens that desperately needed work. Harry Truman deported over two million Illegal's after WWII to create jobs for returning veterans and to stop the drain on the economy. And then again in 1954, President Dwight Eisenhower deported all illegal aliens. We can do it too!
