Your brother told our group about this when we came in for dinner in December, and I just searched to make sure I could find the date. Looking forward to seeing how you do. Congrats, and I hope it gets Saffron more on people's maps.

I believe that Matthew Holmes of Level 5 Cafe at the Guthrie has also competed on the show. I'm fairly sure that is the show he said he was on when I met him briefly last year. Looking forward to seeing how Chef Wadi did! Thanks for putting Minneapolis on the map with the foodies.

Congrats Sameh, that is awesome news with you being a competitor on Iron Chef. There was a previous comment that you were not the first, but actually, you are the first competitor. The executive chef Lee Hillson of T. Cooks in Arizona did choose Matthew Holmes to be an assistant on the show. Matthew Holmes was at the time a sous chef at T.Cooks and living in Arizona and formerly of MN, since the show Holmes has returned to MN.

The original Iron Chef always featured a fortune teller as one of the judges. I could not watch because I am a Christian and we believe fortune telling is part of the diabolical realm of supernaturalism.

I'm looking forward to seeing this episode! We've been watching the show weekly and it's improved quite a bit from the first season (let's not even talk about the original Iron Chef America, hosted by William Shatner). I'm definitely interested in checking out Saffron, too - I hadn't heard of it before. It sounds like something right up my alley.

We absolutely love Saffron. They have the best hummus around (unless you are going to the ME). I highly recommend it. Monday nights are discount nights I believe. Congrats to this find chef.
