All points are so true. And we are all often suckers. I get so tired of paying a certain amount and going back the next week to see that the item is cheaper. Then, the mental arithmetic: what dollar point/cutoff is worth my time to rebuy the item at the cheaper price and return the other? 3 dollars? 5 dollars? 10 dollars? Either way, it leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

Whenever I see the pitch to "Hurry, get one now before they're gone," I always think "If they're going so fast why are you spending money to advertise them?"

Sent me a $5 card in the mail for being such a good "customer". there was no use-by date on it and nowhere on the card did it say i needed to spend money to get the 5 bucks. So i go in to purchase a battery for my garage door opener for $4.79. They told me to buy some candy because i needed to buy something to give the card some value. what the he11 is that? I won't go back to that overpriced place anymore because of the tricks they play at the check out line

....but I still get sucked up into the retail schemes. My craft room is filled with scrap booking supplies I may never use because of Michael's coupons. Most of the items will become passe by the time I use them after I retire!!!!!!!!!!!!

Macy's had a typo on their Friday=Saturday ad for door busters. The ad offered sweaters for 9.99 but they refused to honor it and said the cost should have been listed at 19.99. I dislike the bait & switch so I didn't purchase the sweaters.

They sent me the same thing and I had no problem using it. I bought a $5 + item and got the full $5 off....Problem prolly lies in your particular owners location , not Ace in general.

I usually think that if some things were as good of a deal as they are saying, they'd be keeping it a secret, not advertising it.

But unfortunately, common sense is something that our schools cannot teach, and common sense seems to be a scarce commodity to a lot of people ....
