$18.8 million budgeted for light-rail amenities

The St. Paul City Council trimmed $3.5 million from the original spending plan for trees, lighting and an additional station, and hopes to draw on multiple funding sources.

They are lost in the rare air of academia and have no sense of the realities of life. It is the rare air of the theories of economics that lead us to the economic condition we now find ourselves. Now we are faced with the expense of tempering that theory with the reality of real life. The U is now holding their breath and demanding their own way at the expense of the rest of the metropolitan area, just as a small child acts to get its own way. Their opportunity to voice their opinion was years ago when the light rail routes were being selected. That analysis and vote has been taken, it is now a bit late in the day to be protesting. If this project fails, it will be solely due to the actions of the U.
