I was in East Tennessee yesterday and the local Walgreens scolling marquee says H1N1 available - $24.95. Hmmm...

The Obama administation has had a year to prepare for the swine flu. Look at what we have, rationed health care, selective recipients getting the vaccine. Who in the adminiistration is making the decisions of who gets the vaccine and where the vaccine is delivered? It doesn't take over a year to ready a vaccine. Look at the normal flu vaccine, it changes every year. Think how disgusting health care will be if the dems destroys the current health care system and charge the average family $7000 dollars to get rationed health care. Did I hear that the Gitmo detainees got their flu shots? How do they rate with Obama?

. . . we had faith in our state government. That said, Minnesota has had an excellent health department. Hopefully that's still the case.

How do you figure they have had more than a year to prepare for H1N1? The first case was in Mexico in MARCH 2009 that is 7 months ago. Our biggest issue is there are only 2 manufacturers left for vaccines, private industry isn't going to have 100% excess capacity for anything if no one wants to pay for it. This year they are being told oh gee by the way, this year we want you to make 2 sets of drugs rather than just the usual 1, and you only have 4 months to do it. No way can you build a plant and get it online in that time.

Why? I guess it has all been bad press and we do not want to shame the current administration?

I live in Florida and got my shot last week. I went to clinic at local High School and was in and out in around 15 minutes, no one was really there and they had tons of workers waiting for people. I think you guys are doing it wrong somehow.
