Rock's most colorful band is finally getting respect from Rock and Roll Hall of Fame voters. And Mr. Potato Head, too.

Kiss was my favorite band in my pre-teen years and to this day, I still enjoy their music. That being said, I'm disgusted by the way Paul and Gene have treated Ace and Peter. To have two imposters posing as Ace and Peter "for the sake of the fans" (as Paul said) is a thinly disguised way for Paul & Gene to make even more money at the expense of their former bandmates.

A perfect story for today -- KISS, costumes, make-up, and M&M candy. Happy Halloween!

Who cares! They weren't worth two cents the first time around. Why should I care now?

I wouldn't call myself a big fan, but I liked Kiss enough to buy their "Alive" LP back in the day. If for no other reason, they belong in the rock hall of fame for the direction that their stage shows they took the genre. They are to rock what Bill Veeck was to baseball (the white sox owner who introduced the first exploding scoreboard at Comiskey Park to the major leagues.) Stanley & Simmons didn't get to be multi-millionaires by being stupid.

13 gold and 8 platinum albums probably nudged the net worth of their brand a bit past the two cent mark.

I agree. I hate when good, older bands go on tour and make albums touting only one or two original members. CCR is one good example with it's one original member, Stu Cook (who happens to not be a nice person, I met him), and cheesy show. If modern music was half ways decent and original we wouldn't have to put up with over the hill acts trying to milk past fame for every cent they can.

I too am against Tommy and Eric wearing Peter and Ace's designs in concert, but it is great to see Paul and Gene still bringing the show to the fans of the world. The 96 comeback tour show at the old Civic Center is still one of my favorite all time concerts. That is beacuse of how well those first 6 studio albums material stand up - Deuce, Strutter, C'mon and Love Me, 100,000 Years, Hard Luck Woman, I Stole Your Love; still sound great today - thanks for all the years of rocking, we mis you Peter and Ace!
