That is certainly an accomplishment in the restaurant business. Although it is certainly worth noting the Twin Cities and metro area has evolved its restaurant options over the last 20 years. There are a number of innovators here. Maybe that is the subject of another story?

Their Prior Lake location does not have the glitz of the Bloomington one but the food is just as good.

I ate there a decade ago and never came back. I can't believe they have such a loyal following when there are so much better alternatives...better quality, better prices, more authentic, etc...But hats off to David Fong for going strong and making money against much better competitions.

My husband took me to the Lowell Inn 6 months ago, and while we were the youngest diners in there (30 years old), we really enjoyed it! The service was a little shaky at first since it appeared the wait staff was changing shifts, however we had 2 apps, 2 drinks, 2 entrees, and a dessert to share, and our bill was less than $100! The food was wonderful too! Try getting all that for less than $100 anywhere in Mpls/St. Paul?! I highly recommend the Lowell!

About 37 years ago my family went to eat at Fongs for Christmas dinner believe it or not. Everything was going great until the food came and I wouldn't eat the "weird" food. I was about five years old. My tantrum caused a small stir and then Mr. Fong himself came over and said he had just the thing for me and with a flourish set a plate with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on the table. We went there a bunch after that.
