She's had her moments, yes, but consider this possibility: She's right.

because of Michele Bachmann. She has hurt Minnesota for too long. She has had her turn, and now needs to retire for the good of quality of life.

Has be was during the Bush-Cheney administration. It is time for him to retire, or the StarTribune to retire him.

Mr. Will doesn't mention Rep. Bachmann's repeated "run-ins" with lesbians. No mention of the time Ms. Bachmann claimed to have been attacked by lesbians in a bathroom. No mention of the splendid video news footage of Ms. Bachmann hiding in the shrubbery at the Capitol, watching a Gay Pride rally, then skulking off affecting nonchalance when she saw the news crew had caught her on tape. I wonder why Mr. Will doesn't mention two of Ms. Bachmann's finest moments.

I suspected George Will was going a bit looney when he became an ardent global warming denier. Now, with, "admiration of Michele Bachmann", I know he is. No more masquarading as a rational thinking pundit.

I don't agree with her on many things. I think she is looney in some ways and sometimes can be dimwitted. But its hard to argue that she is not a savvy politician. She made a blunder on the Chris Mathews show but recovered. I think she has skills that people don't give her credit for and I think she will be around for a long time.

Are you kidding me? Gallup just released a new poll and I think you should take a look. 40% of Americans consider themselves Conservative, 36% as Moderate, and 20% as Liberal. That "rapidly dwindling base" theory is BS. http://www.gallup.com/poll/123854/Conservatives-Maintain-Edge-Top-Ideological-Group.aspx

and I don't mean funny-humorous. So you disagree with Michele Bachmann on issues and style? Fine, engage on the issues, and even tweak her on her quirks. But the "sulphurous" hatred that spews everytime a Michele Bachmann story runs is really quite pathological. As for George Will, again you can disagree, but to assert he's loony or irrational speaks volumes about the intellectual and emotional state of the critic, and little about Will.
