So says Chris Rock about his documentary "Good Hair," which proves truth can be sillier than fiction.

Chris Rock is so good at making fun of any group's pomposities, I suspect he does it in this movie. In my mind, he has great insight into people's foibles and can be both cutting and compassionate at the same time. It should be great fun to see what he does with the hair movie.

I also happened to read the article in the NY Times similar to this and it still puzzles me why so much emphasis is put on hair. In my opionon if the person, in this case usually an african-american female, is well dressed, polite and the hair isn't a total train wreck then theyre no better or worse than someone who's hair is straight. It shouldn't matter what they look like if they can do the job and do it well it shouldn't matter what type of hair they "wear".
