A $300 million federal "dollars for dishwashers" program follows "cash for clunkers," but it likely won't pack the same wallop.

Looks like zero sales for some appliance retailers in the next six months. More government interference....

We were going to buy a new clothes washer. The old one works but is 15 years old. Now we are going to wait.

EVERYONE should be asking "WHere are we getting this money" and "How will this affect our future and our children's future" before they run out and buy a new Kenmore. Do you NOT understand simple economics Obama? We don't have the money. We spend trillions on the war. We borrow billions from the Chinese (Who can dump the dollar anytime knowing we can't possibly pay it back). We print out the rest. You can't continue to do this thing without something extremely BAD happening. That something bad is that the dollar will crash because it will go down to zero value. That means all the money you have in the bank is totally worthless. STOP IT WITH BAILOUTS AND GOVERNMENT HANDOUTS!!!

This program is unfair to those who rent apartments. No trade in bucks for them. No upgrades. No new appliances.

if my refrigerator breaks tomorrow, you can bet I won't be waiting 6 months to get a new one. Same thing with my dishwasher and clothes washer and dryer. Appliances will still break and there will still be plenty sales. One the rebate rolls in, there will be even more sales. It's not a bad thing, it's enough to convince some people who wouldn't have otherwise bought a new fridge to get one. It's convinced me. But you conservatives only have one thing in mind: boy do you guys hate Barack Obama. Get over it! He won. If he screws it up, he'll pay for it, don't you worry.

Has no clue what he's doing. Our economy is collapsing and he is worried about going to war with Fox News because they are reporting the news in a way that Obama doesn't approve. I just a poll that has Fox News the most watched and the most fair and balanced. To go to war against that is stupidity on the part of Obama.
