Geocaching is a great family activity, and geocaching events are fun. Visit the website to learn about geocaching. This cache went a little far, however.

Typical Minnesota Government. Have fun, but don't have tooo much fun and let us dictate how you will have fun... Other than following the rules, giving us notice and permits, please be spontaneous, have fun exploring... Just with some notification...

Sounds like fun, about as much as watching paint dry. Seems like Dakota county has more serious problems to work on than this.

I tried geo-caching for a while and found out there are over-zealous geeks in this "sport" too. Some idiot thought it would be a great idea to hang a large dead tree branch vertically in another tree and use that as the cache. Would have made a nice dent in my kid's head.

My GPS, and I love hiking in the woods. Not really sure the two would fit together in the form of geo-caching; although friends would tell me I'm wrong. I see it sorta like golf. Who was it that said golf is a bad way to spoil a perfectly good walk?

Who's checking to make sure these cache items are biodegradable or compostable if not found in 20 years???? Sounds like littering to me.
