Twins flying high after tense, taut thriller

Alexi Casilla grounded a single to right field in the bottom of the 12th inning, scoring Carlos Gomez from second base for a victory that left an announced crowd of 54,088 at the Metrodome delirious and sent the Twins into the playoffs.

What a great victory - the Twins had no quit. Win lose or draw in NY - this is worth it. The Dome does not want to give up the twins. My hats off to these guys. They have represented MN very well. Thanks for the great memory

I do not know what is going on here in MN but all of a sudden in multi-sports we are winning games we normally lose!! A grand salute to Gardy and the Twins for pulling off baseball history!!!!!!! YES!!!!!! YES!!!!! YES!!!!!!

Where are you all hiding now?? To make up a 7 game deficit with one month to play en route to winning the division title is INSANE. I still say NO TEAM in pro sports has consistently showed more heart over the past 20+ years than the Minnesota Twins. Small market overachievers who do it with class.
