Don't these idiots read their own paper? http://www.startribune.com/local/30218604.html?elr=KArksLckD8EQDUoaEyqyP4O:DW3ckUiD3aPc:_Yyc:aU7EaDiaMDCiUT The entire campus hopes to be energy self-sufficient by 2010. Let's pander to the private schools...

In our building in downtown Minneapolis, a woman facilities manager that has little familiarity with LEED or environmentalism, complacently asserted that, yes, our building would be retro-fitted and LEED certified very easily. She, of course, was passing the word from one of the large property managers that handle buildings down here. They just installed electric soap dispensers. Except for some recycling bins and flourescent bulbs, I see nothing in our building that is LEED. The toilets flush like water is endless; there is no green roof; they harass bicyclists and don't allow them in the building, even CARRYING bicycles; lights burn in floor after floor after eveyone is gone; company buys disposable foam cups and paper plates; they use the dishwashers when only a few dishes need to be washed; no solar arrays anywhere; etc. I.E. - it is not so easy to get LEED. I certainly hope Morris can do it and show the folks and Mac it is not a one-building deal.

With all due respect Woody35, they are reporting on a newly opened building that IS certified LEED Platinum, rather than a campus with buildings that are "almost LEED."
