I agree listening is key, especially when it comes to your products and your competitor's products. Listening is also very critical when it comes to your social media strategy. Your blog gives you an opportunity to join the conversation within the social media space and engage your customers for feedback. Donâ€™t just push information to your customers about your products, engage them. Ask customers for:
- Feedback about your products?
- What types of updates they would like to see?
- Have they had any problems?
Remember your blog is a great way to engage your customers and their support for your products.
Also, to extend the investment you are making in developing content for your blog I highly suggest you test posting information about your blog posts on Twitter, FaceBook, LinkedIn or other social platforms. By doing this you not only extend the value of your content, but you let the customer choose how to receive the information base on their social lifestyle.
Finally, a measurement strategy should be put in place to measure results and identify the most effective social media platforms for your products.
