This market has been the centerpiece of our family's activism for over 8 years. Keeping locally grown, sustainable and healthy food accessible in a community-building space is essential. If you haven't voted, please do & ask your friends to vote too. http://www.care2.com/farmersmarket

It takes a little longer to shop at the Midtown Market. Why? Because we have to check in with our favorite vendors - find out how to plant garlic, how the tomatoes are doing this year, when the corn will peak. We might check in with a potter on her new designs, and talk about the "special ingredient" in someone's jam. And then we run into neighbors and so it goes. This market is a real boost to the community - be sure to vote!

The Hiawatha LRT, Lake St's revival, the Midtown YWCA, the Midtown Greenway, the Green Institute have made Lake St and Hiawatha an urban nexus of health and sustainability! The Midtown Farmers'Market will continue to be an amazing community asset for years to come. Thank you Gail for capturing the spirit of the market!
