C'mon! Why can't we just lay this issue to rest, people? We finally got the whole business settled one way or another, and NOW 5 tv stations want to resurrect it?! I am so sick of this election stuff; outstate idiots criticizing MN politics( which happened a lot during the trial). It's not like we're as disorganized as Florida ever was, sheesh!

Because someone wants to find out who really won the election? No doubt if Coleman had come out on top, the lawsuit would be called 'investigative journalism'.

Another example of the media (in this case, TV stations) wanting to CREATE news rather than REPORT news. Give it a rest.

Boy now we know which of the TV stations are republican owned. Don't make no difference about anything. After all when bush stole the election, with the help of brother Jed in Florida they couldn't change the votes. Why in Hades don't they leave this alone. Minnesota has had enough conflict about this election. We got the senator we voted for so Coleman shut your minions up.

The Democrats & Republicans have run this state and country into the ground. The 15 second sound bite is how we elect officials. I didn't want Franken to win; but what good will this do? No advertising should be allowed in elections & no repeat legislators. Constitutional convention anyone? Anyone? Anyone?

1) Election Contest close 2) A winner declared after long recount and court battle 3) Looser concedes and winner takes office 4) Media wants to look at the ballots afterward to verify court's decision 4a) if Republican won, call the media trolling investigative and needed, 4b) if Democrat won, call the media trolling sour grapes, right-wing hatred, excessive, and assign ownership of media to Republican interests. That's fair, isn't it?

Well the genie is out of the bottle now. If these stations don't get the ballots, the conspiracy people will carry on about how the truth remains hidden or some such thing. If they do get the ballots then you can count on the stations making news out of it.

Is this news or is this the stations trying to create news to have a sensational story to sell?

However without a doubt they'll chose to voice an article that casts doubt upon the courts decision just because it sells better. News is supposed to be unbiased, unfortunately that is not the case. "Startribune itself is a socialist newsletter"

Didn't the media go down to Fl later and PROVE that Bush really did win? I should think that the Dems wold WANT the media to prove that Franken won. What are they afraid of?
