at the corner of N 2nd St and 21st Ave N, north of downtown (close to broadway pizza, and that old colony gas station). From downtown, take Washington Ave north to west broadway (right), then 1st left on N 2nd st, then left on 21st Ave, it's on the left. Small green building. I drive by it every day, might need to swing in sometime!

Bartender Jeremy Jaros is a stand up guy. I heard he worked tireless hours to re-vamp the place. Ask him about the "Vesta" drink, and be sure to ask him about the Rev. J. Jaros (internet diploma ha..ha..) but now he's the "Resurrector of Zombies".

Many memories from "Francois' on the Ave" and it's wonderful that Ms. Bock stepped up. Cheers!

We'll have to get over there (maybe dressed in our best "Thriller" garb).

Too Bad the owner treats most of her employees like dirt. I liked the old Stand Up Franks and am glad that the bar reopened, unfortunately I will not go there because of the way Bock has treated some of her employees in the past. I have worked in the service industry for 18 years now and some of the stories that I have heard about Bock and far more scary than any Dawn of the Dead movie. She has no heart, so it makes sense that she opens a 'zombie bar'!

I've worked in this business as everything from a server to a bartender and owner. Many close friends of mine who have worked for me have worked for Psycho Suzi's and been let go. And every one of them deserved it. I've found my dealings with her staff, management and Leslie herself to be warm, friendly, service oriented, professional and always worth my time. I'll be at Donny Dirk's tonight raising a glass to someone with guts, and vision. Few would have had the balls to even try something this grand in a space as storied as Stand Up Franks.

...there is a dive bar on every corner in NE Mpls. If you are going to a dive bar, check out the strip joint on the corner of N. Washington Ave. and Broadway! ;)
