last election, you woulda thunk that AmeriCorps was a godless-pinko version of the Red Guard and that it's members marched around with a little red book entitled, "The Sayings of Chairman Obama." Yes, thank you, Harrison, for your service. Hey, don't forget to write/call yer mom once in awhile though. Otherwise, she might get worried and send cult deprogrammers to "rescue" you. *snerk*
Why don't you go find the part where Tevlin goes after Harrison. Quote it for us please.
As much as I dislike Bachmann, I won't slam her in the context of her kids. Some things are off limits. Rather, I'll simply say, it seems Bachmann finally got something right ... it appears she raised a decent kid.
No matter how nuts ones parents are they still have a chance to turn out out okay.
.....Good luck, Harrison!
How original. *yawn*
Poor misguided child, a victim of proper education and rearing setting out on his own to help . . . other people??? Yep he must be the child of a nut-job politician.
What a weak journalist.
No one really cares, but Bachman is a nut and it is mildly funny that one of her kids would join a program that she sees as a way to get Democrats votes.
Either way you have this one covered - either she is a bad parent because her son didn't follow her lead, or she is a bad parent because she is too controlling and doesn't want to raise thinking, responsible, independent adults. Gimme a break. You aren't even seeing the real issue - that there is no legal (constitutional) authority for a federal government to take money from you and me to fund this kind of charity. It just isn't allowed by our governing documents. Yet politicians forcefully take money from us to fund unconstitutional programs like this one. Government is not a charity! They do not exist to redistribute our personal wealth even for well-intentioned reasons.
