Teachers Federal Credit Union (just changed names to TruStone Financial ) preaches community but is not one. After taking a $1000 pay cut a month from my job I realized my mortgage would be in trouble. I contacted my credit union of 34 years asking if we could work somehing out. They refused to even talk to me. Saying pay or lose your home. I kept trying just to talk to them. So I started contacting my local Senators. Months and months went by. TFCU refused to even talk. I found out later the bank president refused to talk because he did not like me (because also wrote the bank board) Its nice knowing banks make decidions on liking you or not.
