that is ripe in state departments, husbands, wives, kid, grandkids, its obvious from the state phonebook. No wonder some of them cannot relate to problems of all Minn, as there whole society is on the state dole.

"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance." - Cicero - 55 BC

Growing the number of people in the unemployment line....taking away the purchasing power of the only people with steady enough incomes to keep our consumer economy afloat. Sounds like a winner to me! I'm sure the chuckleheads who get off on hearing about state employees losing their jobs and their families losing their livelihoods will be dancing with jubilation over this news, fully invested in a mindset that shrinking the middle class is Minnesota's roadway to prosperity.

won't be so happy about this when YOU lose your jobs? Or when your children are forced to cram into already over-crowded schools. Face the reality-Pawlenty used Minnesotans to score political points with the Republican party, plain and simple. I would hate to be a home owner the next few years. How in the world are we suppose to make up this revenue unless we seriously raise taxes two years from now?

More like cutting the throats of every taxpayer, in private life, but letting the governor and other politico's have their way with what they can spend. Since when does the Representative of a state take expensive trips to the Middleeast? Why do members of congress have private jets? Is this not being justified in a very strange way, like "I am a member of the government and You're not"? I think this calls for an all out revolution against this type of government once and for all.

that the economy will come out of its slump and state revenues will increase through more taxes being paid into state coffers because more people will be able to go back to work? So the 2.8 billion worth of payments he is delaying will be able to be paid after all? How likely is that to happen?

that the government has unlimited resources. Sure the cuts are tough but where do you suppose the money will come from to pay for everything?

It is like Pawlenty sat down and said to himself: "Things are already bad, let's see what I can do to make them even worse!" More unemployment, higher property taxes for homeowners, worse schools, and deficits for as far as the eye can see. These are all the hallmarks of this now infamous administration. I hope you are proud of yourself, Tim. Don't let the door hit you in the behind on the way out.
