I have been reading the wonderful stories about Billy Bye. He certainly left a grand impression on me. I had the pleasure of seeing the Gopher football team in action in 1949 when I could go with the West Concord High School football team to Memorial Stadium. That was my first exposure to Minnesota football. It was a real treat to see Billy Bye and the rest of that great Minnesota team. I knew that day that I would go to the University when my time came. agert001

He was a class act and a wonderful human being. We can all learn from him on how to conduct yourself with dignity. Nothing else needs to be said.

When men like Billy bye come around, all others are very fortunate. I remember watching him as a Boy Scout usher. One of a kind. Sally, you were lucky!!!! All of us were lucky. RIP!!! Don Ward (Wardo) U of M BA 1961 Pattaya, Thailand
