There was no such thing as conflict of interest when Sid started writing, nor were these things called writing classes.

When I read Sid it gives me a chance to learn something about Minnesota sports that I didn't know before. Unlike the constant whining and negativity of the others with columns here. Thanks Sid.

I was a mere kid just entering elementary school in New Ulm back in the 40's but the names Billy Bye, Clayton Tonnemaker, Leo Nomellini and Bud Grant and add Paul Giel later have never left my memory bin.

We used to sneak in to the stadium to watch that team every saturday, and after the game, we would scramble for coins people would throw over the west end of the washington bridge

Billy Bye was born and raised in Thief River Falls and had 4 letters in Football, Basketball, Golf, and Track as a 7th and 8th grader before his family moved to Anoka. He is also in TRF Lincoln HS Hall of Fame as well as being inducted this year in the MSHSL Hall of Fame.

To Sid or WCCO Radio or whom it may concern: When you need someone to fill in for Dave Mona on the "Sports Huddle", please anyone BUT Mike Max. I'm sure he's a nice guy and all, but the sound of his voice makes my skin crawl. Also, at times he struggles to talk and can't/won't talk in complete sentences. Isn't there a better choice? Dark Star, Steve Thomson, or Eric Nelson (those 3 guys I'm not really a fan of either) would be better suited than Mike Max. I'm surprised Mike Max has lasted at WCCO Radio for as long as he has.
