One of the greatest regrets I have from childhood was when my mother made my brother and I each a pull over shirt with a renaissance-type front. I wore it to school in the 5th grade and was made fun of to the point that I threw it away, never telling my mother. I think she knew and was probably hurt by the whole thing. Looking back, I wish I had simply endured the teasing and kept it, because I know she spent quite a bit of time on it.
I'm sure Dolly is a fine person, but I'd be willing to bet money that none of those girls has any idea who she is. They were probably more confused than delighted.
... because she makes frequent appearances on "Hannah Montana" on the Disney Channel.I think it's cool that she showed up and that the Girl Scouts made up such a badge. This is something they won't forget.
Dolly is a clas act. She's all about kids & family & good times. She tells it like it is. I'll never forget her on Johnny Carson, making fun of herself, "It takes a lot of money to look this cheap!"
The kids knew who she was, since the badge was named after her. Plus, since they're in Girl's Scouts, I'd like to assume their parents are involved in their lives and prob also told them who Dolly was. (Maybe they'll all want to head to Dollywood!)
