The remake of a 1970s thriller forgoes cynicism and humor for pure post-9/11 anxiety.

Is NYC the only city in America? So sick of every other movie being set in New York. And ten bucks says that near the end of this suck fest of a movie, a bad guy will be defeated by a subway passenger who will say, "And that will teach you to mess with New Yoke-a's." So lame.

The original "Pelham 123" is a great movie - a classic expample of a movie that doesn't need to be remade. The review, however, was well done and inspired me to see this film. Did you now that the cast of the original "Pelham" included James Broderick, Matthew Broderick's father?

I guess the movie geniuses have run out of originality, so they keep making 're-makes'.....won't go.

Sure, sometimes films and music need a new twist in direction/production to make them timely. This is not one of them. The original is a 70s classic and Travolta (while great at times) is no Robert Shaw. I hate most of these remakes because they require no patience - just thin writing and fast action...BLAH. Go rent the original!

Seriously, Please lets lobby Lucas to re-do the last three awful SW films! Get rid of Jar-Jar. Get a little person back into RD-D2 and C-3PO. Get the puppet Yoda back. Do NOT kill the bad guy Darth Maul. No Count Choc-ula I mean Dooku. No awful chemisty with Anakin and Padme. No liltte boy Anakin. Instead, introduce Solo, more Chewie, Lando, Boba Fett (not his dad), like show the dang characters that made the original triligy so good. I am telling ya. These last SW movies are ripe for a remake!!

The first one was great, the second one good. The third was beginning to show signs of becoming trite, and I almost SAW the handset in Harrison Ford's hands by that time. The new ones don't warrant remaking 'cause prequals almost (not always) suck anyway.
