Finally Americans are getting a chance in our own country - imagine that! Maybe if Intrx ran an ad in local newspapers, they would get more Americans applying for these jobs. Shame on anyone who supports these business' who use more out of country workers than Americans. I see at my local Mac and Don's they have gone back to hiring Americans.

It's weird, because I was advised that anyone who supports programs that bring international workers into the US for summer employment should be ashamed, but still... nothing. Probably it's because of my fond memories of a summer in Yosemite and the exotic and eye-opening mix of people. These programs have many benefits to the US. Nine years on, it has turned out that many of the people I worked with in Yosemite have become leaders in their countries. In this capacity they serve as a tempering force against the passionate mob in their state, drawing on their personal experiences in the US to illustrate America's virtues. Further, these people offer people like myself exposure to a world outside the often stifling insularity of the US. In a world in which geopolitical power is diffusing, these programs are win-win. I fund it highly unfortunate that this annual melting-pot will be tempered this year.
