Elvis is a giant talent and a great live show. Taste of MN gets my vote for best 4th of July destination this year.

I haven't been there in years... have they changed the food at all? I went once and vowed to never again... I can make food better, have my own cold beer and crank up the stereo and save myself 100 bucks...

I haven't been to the Taste in years but I am definitely going to give it a try this year. It seems like the new owners are doing everything they can to upgrade the event. Elvis Costello is a great addition!!

Sorry, I don't get Elvis Costello in any way, shape or form. His music is bland, forgettable and neither catchy nor interesting, and his appearance is sort of an off-kilter Buddy Holly type, but really who cares? Either way he's long past his time.

The last time I was there, it was Budweiser Beer, Smithfield Pork, and Arkansas sweetcorn. Or consider renaming the event.

Get your head out of your a** and look at the body of work.E.C. is the only relavent artist from the punk/new wave era that thankfully blew up disco.Still cant believe he lost best new artist Grammy to Taste of Honey(Boogie-oogie-oogie0.But from "My Aim Is True" to "Momofuku" every cut is full of intelligent lyrics and infectious melodies. You are so off the track. What do you like to listen to.Michael Bolton? The Beatles,Bowie and Costello are the best and most lasting artists to come out of pop/rock music in the last 50 years.Period.Exclamation point!

Mr. Faris and his group have done a fantastic job and immediately upgraded what has been an afterthought festival for many people. Now the big trick is pricing it correctly. I read in a previous article in the strib that the event will no longer be free. I am also happy with that. It will bring down the crowds, weed out the trouble makers and basically make it the State Fair but with out all of the useless barns. PLUS, you won't have to have a ticket to see the concerts, like the State fair where you buy a fair ticket and a concert ticket. BTW- Strib, do you realize that when the user goes to the Read all comments page that there is no where to post a comment? Being a web designer for a large website that also has story comments, I think you should add that. Oh, Also allow paragraph breaks! Thanks!!!

Yawn...highly over rated "singer" (if you call sounding like your mouth is full while singing a singer).
