What about St. Cloud? What about Detroit Lakes? Annandale usually gets coverage here, not today. Or is the Strib just reporting the best reports and not realistic picture of opening day? Journalism is more than just waiting for the phone to ring with the whole story canned for you.

Some of the best walleye lakes in MN are in the Battle Lake area and it is NOT Alexandria! I think because of it's lack of "pine trees" Twin Cities' people forget or don't know about this area what ahs some the best all around fishing in the state!
