When I first learned how to read, these books were all about adventure. As a young woman, they showed how my great-grandparents lived in western Minnesota during the 1890s and early 1900s. Reading them again with my daughters during their childhood years, the love of Charles and Caroline for their children shone through. Today's children - and my granddaughter is one - can read about a world without TVs, computers, malls and iPods!
I noticed on the link listed at the top http://www.laurasprairiehouse.com/ that the Walnut Grove information has not been updated! Please go directly to our walnutgrove.org website for Pageant & Museum information. Another informative site is www.pioneergirl.com
