St. Paul chooses interim superintendent

A district administrator will take the reins until the board finds a permanent replacement for Superintendent Meria Carstarphen.

Is it too much to hope that the next head of the schools is selected based exclusively on ability and accomplishment or will diversity supremists continue to insist that the next head be non-white?

that most of SPPS' students are non-white, right? Of course, the right is fixated on the lie that "diversity" is the guiding mission of public schools, not education. Thank you, Joe Soucheray!

It is inconceivable that a district would hire a person because of race....the best qualified candidate should be selected and hired. Of course, if the board chooses to hire on the basis of race, then let's not talk about a public education system. Let's talk about a quota system where we are going to pull the minorites up by their bootstraps and we can find out how fragile those bootstraps are.
