It could have been worse...he could have been "busted flat in Baton Rouge, heading for the trains..."

The one and only thing Toby Keith has on on him is a good singing voice, Toby isn't a good enough human to shine Kris' boots.

30 years ago we paid a high ticket price to hear Mr. Kristofferson in a concert tour- wow, we thought we were really in for a treat- finally something besides the 8 track tape player. Never have we been more disappointed. He appeared in corduroy pants that looked like he had worn and slept in them for a week, and his performance was about the same. Blaming his problems on a bad cold, we later learned that this was his "drug and alcohol" phase of his career. What a waste of time; and we have never bought another 8 track with him since. I wouldn't walk across the street to listen to him. Good writer, smart guy, too bad he wasted those years.

..like me. I've followed Kristofferson's career almost from the beginning and I've liked most of his work, have seen him in person. But have to say, he is one mixed up dude. Classic schizophrenic.

ever smoked pot on top of the White House like Willie Nelson did when Jimmy Carter invited him to crash for the night? If not then maybe Obama can invite him over and they can discuss politics - on the roof.

The things he's said to audience members who dare to not agree with some ideas of his. Then the Sinead O'Connor thing where she had her right to do things on stage that greatly insulted some audience members (most in this case from what I hear) and they had the gall to voice their opinions to her and Mr. Kristofferson had very insulting things to say to the audience. I will never call out anyone who adores him but I will never have much respect for this person who apparently misses the idea of open-mindedness and agreeing to disagree but still respecting others opinions.
