You must be somehow affiliated with the task force. Sending six people to Hawaii on what is essentially public money is just bad form and a bad idea. Yes, the task force "earned" the money. But, wouldn't that money be better spent on things such as more man power or better technology for the task force? As for the task force keeping "up the good work". I couldn't agree more.

Very misleading headline. It was drug dealing gang members funds. Your headline gives the impression it was tax dollars.

They protect us. And, if they take a few trips to Hawaii, we should not criticize them anymore than trade trips that governor pawlenty takes with his wife at state expense.

...expensive trips to Hawaii eating the brunch buffet at the Sheraton Waikiki and learning about Asian Gang Crime. Please! Spend ten bucks and rent Gran Torino. If you don't get it then, drive to Chicago and hang out in Chinatown. If you still don't get it, take the money and hire an insider (offering protection) and learn their system from the ground up. But Hawaii??? That's bullsh$t!

All you idiots love the Obama stimulus package paid for with our children's future, and whine when we spend some drug dealer's money to send some cops to training to help them learn how to catch more bad guys.

....in the Law Enforcement Industries. The only sector showing signs of weaknes is the Public Defender Branch of the Lawyer Groups. Keep electing Collectivist Democrats that seek revenue for Enhancement, and there will never be a shortage of customers to supply Investments for the industries' Guberment Dependents....er Lawyers.

Six cops, who risk their lives nearly every day, do their jobs and get a judge to agree to let them use money the confiscated from drug dealers. If the conference that teaches them how to keep us all safer is in Hawaii, I'm glad they went and think they deserve a break.

he get's it as a public official. Hey Chris, I have an idea for some new training along side mandatory diversity/cultural and sexual harrassment. I call it the Proper Attitude & Common Sense for public officials. It could be called PACS, Bud & Ron need the training.
