The global economy is in an ecomomic tailspin and he want's to globe trot to China? I heard they will be making all the condoms in China in the near future. Maybe they can start making chop sticks in MPLS like they did on the Iron Range at one time!

...Right! Sure! My spouse took advantage of one of Mpls' highly-touted job re-training courses and ended up teaching some of the classes himself as he had more experience than those teaching - a veritable waste of 3 months (without salary) for nothing that makes him more employable (but it sure keeps those who run it employed).

What in the sam hill does RT Rybak know about the development of high tech enterprises? Some company taking advantage of a tax break is not high tech development. How much will he be paid and who is paying him? Do your job STRIB reporters, stop being cheerleaders.

And the others who read and post or don't post. The "gig" is up! Saying your global is b.s. or trying to be. And going china may sound "cool" to some.. but those that know what's really going on as in "reality" china has SERIOUS doubts about us, or U.S. Mayor Rybak, please focus on Minneapolis, we are not a chicago. Which is equally "fly over" country for those that care.

Tell R.T. to take care of business at home. Make it easier for a local business to thrive in the city. Relax the parking restrictions that choke Uptown. Make it easier to navigate the red tape that clogs and kills anyone trying to open a business. Mentor that goofy council that somehow fails to figure out that its citizens would like pot holes fixed and roads plowed then to save the elephants and erect arty drinking water fountains.
