Personally, I don't appreciate subsidizing Mr. Peters' vacations. Ultimately, the rest of us pay higher taxes for his write offs.

While there are way too many legitimate deductions out there, writing off your vacations because you sell some of your pictures isn't one of them. The primary purpose of the trip needs to be for work, and the majority of your time needs to be spent for that business purpose in order for it to qualify for a write off. If you're going to take the write offs, be sure you read the rules first, so you don't get caught w/ penalties later.
