There should absolutely be no new coal fired power plants built until we have in place either a carbon tax or a cap & trade system to prevent CO2 emissions & promote cleaner energy sources.Plants like BSP II are not even close to being low emission as there proponents state. 20% cleaner than the existing plant is definitely not cleaner. We need a system either CO2 tax or cap & trade to discourage coal plants from being built & in-turn encourage clean energy sources instead, while cleaning up our air.
