We have a much bigger population problem with illegal aliens than wolves. So why is Congress protecting them but not the wolves?

Your species is next off the list...turns out you're too dumb to evolve and Congress can no longer justify the effort.

Why take it off the list?? I remember from grade school -- and that was a while ago -- that more than over hunting decimated the wolves. As their populations shrank, breeding and genetic problems caused many of those that survived hunters and trappers vulnerable to disease or unable to reproduce in survivable numbers.

It would seem that nature is best at regulating their numbers, after all, within their ecosystem, aren't wolves at the peak of their food chain? Is there any good reason to remove them from protection? There sure isn't any shortage of deer in NE Minnesota!
