Prior Lake is latest district to make bid to keep gifted students

Prior Lake could be the latest south-metro community to open an academy for gifted students after a survey found strong support for it.

If these kids are so bored in class waiting for the other kids to catch up why don't they help out another student? Cut back on teacher aids maybe. This district didn't have enough money to open the new school it built and now they want to add a new program. "and the district's student services budget." When they say it wont cost anything you better hang onto your wallet.

I don't believe my children have received the pedagogical training to help their peers nor do they receive a paycheck from the district. Doesn't every child have the right to reach their fullest potential?
