Anybody that argues against that is either an idiot, just looking to exercise their lungs in a stupid debate or truely trying to protect corrupt voting practices.

the primary could be in July or early August with early voting. With a 30 day voting window, "I am disenfranchised, I was on vaction" rings pretty hollow. Bill G.

Why are students allowed to choose whether to vote at home or at school? Everyone else has to vote where they live, why do they get to decide which election they want to influence? Has anyone checked to see how many students voted in both places? Bill G.

If voting is that important to you then stay home and vote! Not on vacation. The only absentee ballots should be our service men and women and other working over seas.

Has Ritchie done any checking for fraud? Have any of the same day registrants been checked out? Have absentee ballots been checked against polling day lists for double votes? Have college area precinct voting list been crosschecked against the student's hometown voting list? Everything we hear is about how to ake it EASIER to get on the list, but NOTHING to make sure the list isn't full of cheats. We hear crap all the time about how there isn't any fraud, but how would we know? Nobody seems to be looking. Bill G.

Remember Republican gubernatorial candidate Grunseth, who withdrew shortly before election day? ---- Remember DFL Senate incumbent and candidate Wellstone, who died in an accident just short of the election? ---- When people vote early for candidates no longer in the race, those sorts of last-minute changes must be anticipated in any changes in election law. ---- can early voters be allowed to re-vote when the ballot changes just prior to the official election day?

Voter Fraud is just another term for voter suppression, something Republicans love. Voter fraud has never been a problem in Minnesota, with one or two reported cases in our state's history.

I know there are risks to hacking the system, but it makes a recount a lot faster. (Also, let's not criticize absentee voters -- not all of them are vacationers. My coworker had to leave town to take care of his sick father. My husband had to fly out of town for a job interview. We weren't going to say no.)

Students should be able to use their school ID because they live in the area to go to school. In other words they are as eligible as anyone else in the area. And to say that some students same day registration vote then hit hit the road to vote where their parents live is ridicules.

In a free society, if people don't want to put some effort into voting, I'd rather they didn't at all. This sounds like yet another Dem pushing for voting early and often. The more time, the more fraud there will be.
